I had my DS at Abrazo Arrowhead Hospital on 7/5/23 with Dr. William Arnold, and it was truly the best, most life-saving decision I’ve ever made. Since surgery, I’ve lost 87 pounds, and the changes in my health have been incredible — my blood pressure is now normal, acid reflux is gone, pre-diabetes is reversed, liver damage and scarring have healed, and I no longer have sleep apnea. My BMI has gone from morbidly obese to overweight, and I’m determined to keep going until I reach a normal BMI — just 19 more pounds to go! On 2/13/25, I had a panniculectomy at the same hospital with the same surgeon, where they removed 4 pounds of excess skin from my weight loss. Now, I’m just 15 pounds away from my goal, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this journey and for Dr. Arnold and his amazing team.
