I can’t express enough gratitude to Dr. Lange and his incredible team—they truly saved my life. I was rushed to the ER after throwing up blood, with dangerously high heart rate and low blood pressure. A CT scan revealed a severe bowel obstruction, and I was also septic. By sheer luck, Dr. Lange, a highly skilled bariatric surgeon, was on call that weekend. Even though he wasn’t the one who performed my original bariatric surgery, he stepped in and performed an emergency surgery, removing part of my small intestine and my gallbladder, and made sure I got the critical care I needed to survive. I’ve spent a lot of time in and out of hospitals, but Dr. Lange stood out as the most patient, compassionate, and understanding doctor I’ve ever met. His team was just as amazing—kind, attentive, and dedicated to my recovery. I like to joke that I was his “favorite patient he never wanted to have,” but I’ll always be endlessly grateful. Thank you, Dr. Lange, for saving my life and treating me with such care and kindness. You and your team are true heroes in my eyes.
