Dr. Hooper at DFW Bariatric & General Surgery is amazing! I had an RNY, but she performs both procedures. The entire office has been wonderful to work with. I chose her and this practice because they don’t advertise—meaning they rely entirely on their reputation, research, teaching, and word-of-mouth. Both of the primary surgeons are true leaders in the field. One of the best parts is that I’ve been able to do all of my appointments virtually, which has been so convenient since I live more than an hour away. It was really important for me to have surgery in December since I had already met my out-of-pocket maximum. If I had to wait until January, I would have been responsible for the entire max again. Dr. Hooper and her team went above and beyond to make sure I got my surgery scheduled in December despite tighter insurance deadlines and fewer available time slots. They also made sure I felt comfortable with all of the providers I needed to see for pre-op testing. With some medical trauma in my past, I can be very particular about who I see, but they never made me feel difficult or demanding. I can’t recommend Dr. Hooper and her team enough—top-notch care from start to finish!

I had my surgery with DFW Bariatric and chose Dr. Hooper as my surgeon, though Dr. K was also an option. My experience with them has been excellent. They train other surgeons and are on the cutting edge of bariatric procedures. The office staff is great, and Dr. Hooper was available, attentive, and respectful during my hospital stay. I highly recommend both Dr. Hooper and Dr. K.
