I got my sleeve yesterday, and I have to say, reading everyone’s posts here really helped me prepare. I’ve been up and walking since two hours after surgery, and my gas pain is almost completely gone. I’m drinking about 4 oz of water every three hours and haven’t even needed pain meds. My surgery was in Fresno with Dr. Higa, and he was absolutely great. If you’re on the fence about getting the sleeve, I’d definitely recommend it — I already feel like I’ve been given a second chance at life. And it’s true what they say: walk, walk, walk, walk! I was nervous at first, but reading someone’s comment about how fast and easy the process felt once they were under really helped calm me. Now I’m just happy and excited for this new journey!
