If anyone in Illinois is looking for an incredible bariatric surgeon, I can’t recommend Dr. Vafa Shayani, MD in Bolingbrook, IL enough! I had my gastric sleeve on 6/20, and the entire experience was nothing short of amazing. No two-week liquid diet before surgery, very minimal pain afterward, and I was back to work in no time. What really impressed me was how personal and attentive he is — he even gives his patients his mobile number. The night of my surgery, while I was still in the hospital, my throat was so sore. I called him, and he immediately gave the okay for ice chips. He’s done thousands of these procedures and performs five surgeries a day, twice a week — that’s how experienced and skilled he is.
